The Active Directory Engineer role is within the Advisory function based in Singapore. We partner with our member firms across the world to deliver key global compliance management services for our clients. You will responsible for the implementation, administration and management of a variety of reporting and visualisation platforms.

The role provides support, implementation, and design services for Microsoft Active Directory and Windows-based systems across the enterprise, including directory and identity management solutions.

The role involves:

  • Producing enterprise-level designs for Active Directory and Windows File Services for global initiatives following those through to implementation via collaboration with project and support teams.
  • Identifying opportunities to innovate, extend and enhance service delivery everywhere possible.
  • Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management for corporate Identity Management environment.
  • Serving as escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, provides guidance and direction in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems.
  • Serving as the first line of escalation support for domain technology issues that cannot be resolved by tier one and two server support.
  • Performing daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining Active Directory and third-party software utilities for hardware systems within company operational guidelines.
  • Creating and maintaining system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
  • Improving existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation.
  • Managing customer satisfaction through effectively communicating and managing customer expectations

The ideal candidate should have:

  • At least 7 years overall IT experience with 3 to 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Identity technologies including Active Directory, Windows File Services, and Group Policies
  • Experience working with Microsoft Identity technologies including Active Directory and Windows File Services
  • Knowledge in administering Active Directory (AD)
  • Knowledge in AD, ADFS, PKI in Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, DNS, DHCP, WINS, DFS, in a Windows 2012 landscape.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Forefront Identity Management, Microsoft Exchange, Quest Active Roles Server (ARS) are preferable
  • Deep understanding of monitoring best practices, preferably with Microsoft System Center Operation Manager (SCOM)
  • Experience with infrastructure and server theories, principles and concepts; application infrastructure and standards; networking fundamentals; Windows; Physical Server architecture; Virtualization Technologies (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V) and LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN network technologies
  • Knowledge of server virtualization technologies, preferably VMware and/or Microsoft technologies
  • Ability to translate technical issues into understandable business language for end users
  • Possess strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
