ASPAC Regional Team

As part of the regional team, you will play an integral role in helping firms meet Trust and Growth ambitions, promoting consistency and collaboration, so that KPMG becomes the Clear Choice for clients and talent. This role presents an exciting opportunity to build relationships with senior leaders across member firms throughout the Asia Pacific region.

The role

The ASPAC Clients and Markets Strategy has been set to drive growth, scale and replication across our priority sectors and accounts as well as increase alignment between global, regional and member firms in response to market drivers. This is underpinned by greater accountability and transparency of in-country prioritisation of regional priority sectors and accounts, capability and coverage investment and a consistent approach to performance management.

The ASPAC C&M Project Manager, in support of the strategy, is responsible for supporting the execution of key markets projects, initiatives and best practice across the region, working with a wide range of stakeholders including Heads of Markets, Country Senior Partners, Regional Sector Leaders, Regional Lead Partners and Global Sales and Markets.

The role includes project management of multiple work streams, prioritising requirements and engaging across the region to evolve the Markets agenda, to enhance confidence, capability, and cultural change, while at the same time tracking the value delivered across the region.

In addition to a strong academic foundation, you will need a client focus to understand their issues and a solid sense of personal responsibility for both our clients and your personal goals. You must demonstrate outstanding proactive problem-solving abilities and relationship-building skills across the Asia Pacific region.

  • Support the execution of key transformation initiatives including developments to the priority sectors and accounts program and sales transformation.
  • Enhance existing metrics, measurable KPIs, project milestones and refine the reporting templates, tools & escalation processes in place.
  • Deliver priorities against agreed timelines and project milestones with regular meetings and progress reporting to the ASPAC Board
  • Establish and reinforce open and effective communication between the ASPAC Clients and Markets team and global/member firm counterparts.
  • Manage cross team discussion, issue resolution and collaboration across the ASPAC Clients and Markets team.
  • Establish a stakeholder management approach which manages all stakeholder expectations and communications regarding strategy and associated change management.
  • Help develop offshore support to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of onshore ASPAC Priority Sector and Account teams.

Deliverables and accountabilities

  • Record of progress across the portfolio of initiatives/projects
  • Drive best practices across sectors and accounts.
  • Remove barriers of cross-border resourcing, budget, and mobility
  • Partner with Global/Regional Lead Partners, Sector Leaders, and Regional Business Development Directors
  • Connect with Global/Regional/Member Firm Business Development Directors
  • Connect the full suite of Clients and Markets services to demonstrate value proposition.

Skills and experience

  • Diploma/Tertiary degree or equivalent (preferably in a finance, accounting, business, marketing, or information technology discipline)
  • At least 5 years of experience working with all levels of management to assess business needs.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to set the agenda and manage follow up activities for team meetings.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a can-do attitude
  • Logical thinking and consultative orientation
  • A proactive communicator with excellent verbal and written English communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Resilient and a team player. Ability to build a cross border community and communicate effectively within a virtual team.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

Contract Tenure

This position is a 12-month contractual role, with the potential for an additional 12-month extension.
