Job Description

As part of KPMG in Singapore’s Accounting Advisory (AAS), you will work with KPMG’s top tier clients in both the private and public sector. As our client’s trusted advisors, we will work with our clients to support C-suites on wide ranging of finance and accounting matters, including deliver practical advice and recommendations to complex accounting, financial and regulatory challenges to review and enhancing finance capabilities in reporting. This role is ideally suited to candidates seeking a move out of external audit/ assurance or who had direct work experience in finance function and who are seeking an opportunity to enhance their problem-solving skills with deep finance experience. 


What will you do as a consultant in AAS?

  • Be part of the solution provider to Finance communities, 
  • Assist with the management of client opportunities, deliver live engagements and provide input into larger multi-disciplinary teams across the Firm
  • Assist with implementation of new financial reporting systems, processes and policies for our clients, as well as design and implement sound governance and controls
  • Assist senior management in providing technical solutioning to clients through in-depth understanding of the accounting standards requirements and practical applications, addressing reporting issues and broader impacts of accounting standards, and regulatory where applicable
  • Support the delivery of complex projects with strong project management skills, develop client deliverables, reports and/ or presentations and liaise with clients and external advisors
  • Perform data analysis to understand data quality and to inform and support robust decision making for our clients and promote effective decision making using financial and visualisation tools
  • Research relevant technical and industry developments, participating in and facilitating internal and external trainings
     

We are looking for dynamic individual(s) with:

  • A minimum of three years of experience with a public accounting firm, advisory services firm, or a large multinational organization in leading finance change or corporate accounting, or system reporting
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in an appropriate field; licensed CPA or CPA equivalent
  • Experience and strong interest in technologies for finance and accounting
  • A strong knowledge and practical application of one or more of the following: U.S. GAAP, IFRS, business combinations, share options, or financial restatements
  • The ability to lead and work with diversified teams
  • Strong analytical, communication skills and experience in project management
  • The willingness to take on a role with 20%-40% travel
  • Applicants with experience in insurance will be a plus
