Job Description

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities: 

  • Manage and supervise the execution of external audit engagements of various clients including Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) registrants in accordance with relevant regulatory and professional auditing and assurance standards
  • Clients will include SEC registrants, affiliates of SEC registrants and potential SEC registrants
  • Maintain a working knowledge of and research findings regarding accounting literature trends and technical issues relevant to the client's industry
  • Oversee engagement management including managing the budget resourcing strategy billing and collections and progress against the plan timeline and milestones
  • Set the culture for the engagement team and mentor members in their career development
  • Coach and develop team members to achieve technical competencies and efficient performance
  • Build and manage client relationships and accounts driving the client experience and identifying business development opportunities
  • Understand and utilize KPMG's audit methodology

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • At least 5 years of managerial experience in a public accounting firm conducting audits and reviews under PCAOB auditing standards and US GAAS. Experience working directly with SEC Registrants and having PCAOB inspection experience is advantageous.
  • A recognised degree in Accountancy and professional accounting qualifications such as CA Singapore or an equivalent (e.g. ACA, CA Australia, etc).
  • A US CPA is advantageous
  • A strong knowledge of IFRS, PCAOB auditing standards, SOX 404b requirements and SEC rules; 
  • Strong experience in the application of SOX 404b requirements, including identifying and evaluating process risk points, the design, implementation and operating effectiveness of internal controls within a process and identifying, assessing and reporting on control deficiencies to relevant stakeholders    
  • A good understanding of pertinent business and risk management issues and familiarity with the regulatory and reporting environment
  • Excellent communications skills, strong analytical skills and excellent business acumen
  • A keen problem solving mindset
  • Self-motivated and are able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • The ability to deliver quality presentations and present excellent written deliverables
  • Possess strong project management skills with the ability to lead a team, including providing direction and support to team members
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed
