Job Description
The ESG Consulting practice comprises professionals passionate about making a positive impact through advising KPMG clients on environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters to improve business resilience and increase business value. Key services include decarbonisation, sustainable finance, energy transition, due diligence, transition planning, risk and governance and reporting.
Together with other professionals, you will:
- Drive the growth of the ESG Consulting practice by providing expert advice, guidance and solutions to organizations and businesses seeking assistance in the specific area of ESG.
- Leverage your knowledge, skills and experience in the ESG domain to help clients solve business problems, improve operations and achieve their goals such as regulatory compliance, productivity and resource allocation, or revenue growth.
- Undertake activities such as:
- Developing proposals for submission to client and participate in pitch meetings
- Research on client and market practices to determine current actions and behaviours to establish performance benchmarks,
- Conduct capacity building workshops briefings and seminars to facilitate knowledge transfer
- Use technology and tools to analyse data to identify problems within a business and determine the most effective strategies for resolving those issues
- Compile findings into reports and presentations to explain findings and recommendations, and/or
- Oversee the implementation of recommendations or provide on-going advice
- Build rapport and relationships with internal stakeholders and clients.
- Ensure risk management procedures are carried out in accordance with the firm’s guidelines and requirements.
We are looking for professionals who:
- Are enthusiastic about being part of and building a strong, impactful consulting practice,
- Have a minimum of 5 - 10 years experience in a relevant role,
- Have strong educational qualifications in the fields of finance, engineering, or environmental science,
- Have worked as a consultant or has the intent to nurture a career in professional services,
- Is adept at developing presentation materials to a high quality quickly, leveraging the Microsoft Office suite, tools and technology,
- Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, works well with others
- Has strong work ethic, strong project management and independent problem solving skills
