Job Description

 

We invite highly motivated, dynamic professionals to join our growing ITS Global Team.

 

ITS Global (Information Technology Services Global) is one of the four pillars within KPMG’s Global Technology & Knowledge (GT&K) group. It provides innovative components that KPMG’s business functions and member firms use to deliver state-of-the-art client-facing solutions. It also provides the information-protection and technology infrastructure that secures KPMG’s technology environment and connects its network of member firms. And it works with the other pillars in the GT&K group to provide technology solutions that leverage world-leading partnerships and disruptive digital capabilities, and that provide access to the firm’s collective intelligence.

 

The Cloud Enterprise Chapter Lead is responsible for developing a high performing Cloud Operations team within their region to drive the ITS Global group’s agenda and achieve its business objectives. This role focuses on Azure Infrastructure & Platform Services and may also include other hyperscale clouds like AWS & GCP.

 

The role involves:

  • Hands-on technical Microsoft Azure Engineer (80%)
  • Manage a small team of 2-3 local engineers (20%)
  • Deliver high-quality products and exceptional service that provide value and exceed client expectations
  • Develop and motivate others: Engages teams, instills confidence, and coaches people to find meaning in their work and achieve exceptional results
  • Foster innovation: Embraces a culture of innovation and experimentation to create value
  • Ability to build constructive working relations across the different teams, functions, cultures, genders and demonstrate KPMG behavior and values.
  • Ability to interact professionally under pressure with a wide range of customers ranging from end-users and IT staff to management and external service providers.
  • Team player who values honesty and transparency, credits others and is willing to share success.

 

 

 

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Senior Engineer ready to take next step to become Team Lead OR Experienced Technical Manager
  • Strong Azure IaaS and PaaS skills (AZ-104 certified preferred)
  • PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Understanding of ITIL processes, SLA’s and KPI’s, cost of service, risk & security.
  • Experience with Infrastructure enterprise technologies, (Microsoft Azure Cloud) and understanding of technology architecture in an enterprise environment.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Confident in dealing with staff, managers and partners across the firm.
  • Coordination and project management skills in order to manage team tasks, understanding of full project cycle to support deployment projects.
  • Ability to set clear and simply understandable, but ambitious goals that translate the business strategy into action, encouraging and motivating the team members to achieve targets.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, putting required measurements and management architectures in place to achieve improvement goals.
  • Ability to lead discussions in a constructive way with clear goals, deliverables, documented agreements and follow up actions.
