Job Description

At KPMG, we believe the future belongs to organisations that are secure, resilient, and trusted by design. Our Cloud Infrastructure & Security team sits at the forefront of this transformation helping enterprises and government bodies rethink how technology, security, and risk come together in a cloud-first world.

This role is an opportunity to shape some of the most complex and high-impact cloud programs in the region, working with leading platforms, forward-thinking clients, and exceptional people. We are looking for driven cloud leaders who want more than just technical delivery. Professionals who aspire to influence strategy, mentor the next generation, and build a career defined by meaningful impact, continuous learning, and leadership in an ever-evolving digital landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cloud infrastructure strategy and delivery for enterprise and government client engagements across Azure and AWS, with a good understanding of Singapore Government Commercial Cloud (GCC 2.0 and GCC+) environments.
  • Architect, implement, and operationalise secure, scalable cloud solutions including network design, identity and access management, encryption, and logging/monitoring aligned to IM8, GovTech security baselines, and government compliance frameworks.
  • Design and manage GCC 2.0 and GCC+ integrations: assess workload suitability, implement and validate GCC security baselines, support ATO (Authority to Operate) activities, and coordinate with government stakeholders for GCC, hybrid, and on-premises-to-cloud migration programs.
  • Drive AI-enabled cloud programs: architect and deploy solutions leveraging AWS Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, Azure OpenAI Service, and equivalent AI/ML services across cloud providers ensuring secure, compliant, and production-ready deployments in government and enterprise contexts.
  • Drive cloud security programs: threat modelling, vulnerability management, security controls design, and compliance alignment with enterprise and government policies.
  • Modernise datacentre and virtualisation platforms including server virtualisation, storage, backup, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Manage end-to-end project delivery: requirements gathering, solution design, implementation oversight, testing, and handover to operations.
  • Define and enforce operational standards: Runbooks, SOPs, incident response playbooks, and KPIs for availability, performance, and security.
  • Mentor and lead technical teams, provide technical guidance to consultants and engineers, and support capability building and certification efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including risk, compliance, network, application, and business teams to align infrastructure roadmaps with business objectives.
  • Engage with clients and senior stakeholders, present technical proposals, and translate technical trade-offs into business impact.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • 5–10 years in IT infrastructure, virtualisation, cloud engineering, or technical consulting with proven leadership in enterprise or government environments. Prior experience working on Singapore Government GCC 2.0 or GCC+ engagements is highly advantageous.
  • Certifications (one or more preferred):
    • AWS Solutions Architect Associate / Professional
    • Microsoft Azure Administrator / Azure Security Engineer
    • AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty (or equivalent AI/ML cloud certification)
    • MCSA Windows Server
    • ITIL Foundation
  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud services, security controls, and architecture best practices.
Working knowledge of Singapore Government Commercial Cloud (GCC 2.0 and GCC+) including onboarding processes, security baselines, IM8 compliance, and hybrid connectivity models.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, Azure OpenAI Service, or equivalent AI/ML platforms including secure deployment, guardrails, and integration with enterprises or government workloads.
  • Strong background in Windows Server, virtualisation platforms, storage, backup, and DR.
  • Experience with identity and access management, network security, encryption, logging, and SIEM integration.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation and IaC (Terraform, ARM, or similar), CI/CD concepts, and monitoring/observability tools.
