As an Assistant Manager within our Customer practice, you will work at the intersection of business, technology, and transformation, partnering with clients to shape the future of their organisations through innovative and practical solutions. This role requires a strong blend of Business Analysis and Project Management capabilities, enabling you to bridge business needs with technology solutions while ensuring successful project delivery.

As an Assistant Manager in our Customer team, you will be responsible for:

 

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

  • Lead requirement gathering workshops, discovery sessions and stakeholder meetings.
  • Analyse and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Develop key project deliverables, including: 
    • Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
    • Functional Specifications
    • User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
    • Process Maps and Workflows
    • Use Cases and Solution Recommendations
  • Conduct current-state (As-Is) and future-state (To-Be) process assessments.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable functional and technical requirements.
  • Ensure requirements are aligned to business objectives and maintain traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support solution design by collaborating with technical teams, architects, and business stakeholders.

 

Project Management & Delivery

  • Manage project workstreams, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and timelines.
  • Support project planning, governance, status reporting, and stakeholder communications.
  • Track project risks, issues, assumptions, and mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate activities across business, technology, and vendor teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Facilitate project meetings, steering committee updates, workshops, and working sessions.
  • Support resource planning, project budgeting, and change request management where required.

 

Stakeholder Management

  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders across business and technology functions.
  • Facilitate discussions to align stakeholder expectations, priorities, and solution outcomes.
  • Communicate project status, risks, decisions, and key updates effectively to various audiences.
  • Act as a bridge between business users, project delivery teams, and senior leadership.

 

Testing, Change & Adoption

  • Support test strategy development, test scenario creation, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements and expected outcomes.
  • Support change management activities, user communications, training, and solution adoption.
  • Assist clients in embedding new processes and capabilities into their operating model.

 

Team Leadership & Practice Development

  • Mentor and coach junior analysts and consultants.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, capability development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support proposal development, business development activities, and thought leadership within the Corporate Transformation practice.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment aligned with KPMG's values and culture.

 

Business Development Support 

  • Build strong client relationships and manage expectations, communications, and stakeholder alignment 
  • Understand client challenges and identify opportunities to strengthen project outcomes and identify potential follow-on work 
  • Support proposals, opportunity pursuits, client presentations, solution development, and practice-building initiatives 

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, Project Management, Functional Consulting, Product Ownership, or related roles.
  • Experience delivering business transformation, technology implementation, or digital transformation projects.
  • Proven experience managing project workstreams and coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience working in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery environments.
  • Prior consulting experience within a professional service, advisory, or consulting environment is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Confluence, or similar.
  • Experience working with enterprise platforms such as: 
    • Salesforce
    • Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Knowledge of data analytics and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or equivalent is advantageous.
  • Certifications in Salesforce, project management or agile delivery will be advantageous
