Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Associate or Assistant Manager to join our ESG Consulting team. The role is suited to someone with relevant professional experience in ESG and sustainability-related work, combined with strong management consulting, transformation or related advisory capabilities.
You will work directly with clients on complex sustainability and business challenges, helping to bring structure to ambiguous problems, connect issues across the enterprise and develop practical, integrated solutions. You will work collaboratively across different consulting capabilities and, where relevant, across markets to bring together the expertise required to address clients’ broader transformation and value-creation priorities.
What you will do
- Deliver client-facing ESG consulting engagements across areas such as sustainability strategy and transformation, transition planning, sustainable supply chains, circularity, ESG programmes, reporting and related sustainability topics.
- Work with clients to structure complex or ambiguous ESG and business problems, identify the underlying issues and develop clear approaches to address them.
- Analyse and synthesise information from different sources and disciplines to develop insights and recommendations.
- Connect sustainability considerations with broader enterprise priorities, including strategy, operations, supply chain, technology, workforce, risk and business performance.
- Support the development of holistic client solutions by working across consulting teams, specialist capabilities and geographies.
- Translate strategies and recommendations into practical initiatives, roadmaps, operating changes and implementation plans.
- Own defined engagement workstreams, including problem solving, analysis, client deliverables and day-to-day interaction with client stakeholders.
- Maintain strong delivery discipline, with awareness of engagement scope, timelines, effort, resourcing and commercial considerations.
- Identify emerging client needs, make connections across issues and surface opportunities where broader capabilities could create additional client value.
What we are looking for
- Relevant professional experience in ESG or sustainability-related work is essential.
- Experience may include sustainability strategy and transformation, transition planning, sustainable supply chains, circularity, ESG programmes, ESG reporting or related areas.
- A management consulting, corporate transformation or related advisory foundation is strongly preferred. Relevant experience may include strategy, business transformation, operating model, supply chain, programme delivery or other client-oriented advisory roles.
- Strong ability to work with ambiguity and bring structure to unstructured problems.
- Strong problem-solving and synthesis skills, with the ability to connect disparate issues and understand the broader enterprise context.
- Ability to work collaboratively across different disciplines and bring together multiple perspectives to support integrated client solutions.
- Strong client orientation and confidence working directly with client stakeholders.
- Ability to translate analysis and strategy into practical recommendations and implementation pathways.
- Sound understanding of business fundamentals and consulting economics, including the importance of scope, effort, resourcing, client value and commercially disciplined delivery.
- Curiosity and sufficient breadth to work beyond a single sustainability specialism.
⠀
What will distinguish you
You are an integrative problem solver. You can take an unstructured sustainability or business problem, create clarity around what needs to be solved, connect the relevant issues and capabilities, and help develop a holistic solution that supports enterprise transformation and value creation.
