Job Description

 

KPMG’s Economics and Regulation team sits within Consulting Advisory and has supported clients with robust analysis and economic insights for over 10 years in Singapore. The team of economists have experience in economic advisory including cost-benefit analysis, economic impact assessments, econometrics analysis, pricing studies and other areas of public policy analysis requiring economists’ inputs. We have supported a variety of clients over our history, including those from public and private sector, inside Singapore and more widely across the region. We work across functions, including with other teams such as Data Analytics and Infrastructure Advisory to cover a range of studies across various sectors.

 

As a Manager in the department, your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting economic modelling, data gathering, research, analysis, report writing and presentations for project deliverables
  • Managing and developing proposals for the business development of the team
  • Working and managing project teams to ensure high-class and timely delivery of projects and proposals, including project management and administration and the development of the team’s consulting skills
  • Providing expertise in multi-functional teams as the expert economist, leading solutions and analysis required for the project or proposal
  • Participating in brainstorming and insight sessions to develop solutions and capabilities
  • Being involved in wider ad-hoc activities within a dynamic consulting environment, including presenting internally and externally, internal reporting and training

 

We are looking for an exceptional individual with:

  • A minimum of seven years of experience as an economist, either in a consulting advisory environment, within government or as an in-house economist
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, or with Economics as a major
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with a proven track record in stakeholder management and the ability to effectively engage with senior management and external clients
  • A strong knowledge and practical application of one or more of the following: cost benefit analysis, economic impact assessments, public policy evaluation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and collaborate across teams, including with non-economists
