Job Description

 

The Finance Department is responsible for the financial aspects of the firm. It records operating transactions, provides essential financial and accounting information necessary to make various decisions;  and prepares financial statements that inform management and regulators about the firm’s financial results and position. The Finance team also assists to ensure that transactions recorded comply with the internal controls and policies of the firm.

 

We invite self-motivated, initiative professionals to join our finance team. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage the daily operational AR/collections activities and month-end/quarter-end close process, including preparation of AR, collections and cashflow reports, to achieve accuracy in financial accounts and meet deadlines. 
  • Uphold financial controls by covering bank reconciliations, AR/debtors reconciliations, and more. 
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders on receivables and collection matters, including resolving irregularities and assisting with external queries. 
  • Provide recommendations in streamlining AR reporting process and systems enhancements. 
  • Assist with periodic financial closing activities and external audits, providing support to finance management where required including ad-hoc analysis or special projects. 

 

You should possess the following: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent with recognised accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA) 
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a similar role 
  • Solid knowledge of SFRS and strong computer and analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft applications and SAP accounting software 
  • Excellent planning, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels 
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration 
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
