Our Risk and Regulatory Transformation business helps leading financial institutions to transform how they manage risk and regulation — combining deep domain expertise with cutting-edge technology. Our team works directly with C-suites and senior leadership to redesign risk & compliance functions, embed AI and automation, and deliver scalable solutions that drive resilience, agility, and trust. We provide services across the risk & compliance function, especially in relation to Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting (NFRR), Risk & Controls Transformation, and Risk & Compliance Function Transformation. Each focus on integrating domain expertise with cutting-edge technology solutions and AI development, achieved through collaboration with cross-functional teams.

 

The Role

 

We seek an Assistant Manager and Manager (designation will be based on experience) to contribute significantly to these three pillars by risk & regulatory changes, leveraging AI and technology solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead or support workstreams across risk transformation, regulatory reporting, and controls optimization, including advisory, implementation support, post-implementation reviews, and platform/process optimization
  • Conduct business impact assessments, target operating model reviews, and provide strategic recommendations for enhancements and regulatory compliance
  • Deliver and support regulatory change programs (e.g., MAS, HKMA, ASIC, MIFID II, SFTR, EMIR, IBOR, CSDR), including business analysis, requirements gathering, and post-implementation assurance
  • Perform risk and control reviews for key functional and business areas within investment banking, capital markets and retail banking clients, with a view to providing advise on how to optimise and automate control environment
  • Formulate and deliver client propositions and solutions tailored to evolving regulatory and risk requirements
  • Mentor, coach, and manage junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, leveraging industry knowledge and delivery capability
  • Support business development activities, including developing value propositions and converting pipeline opportunities
  • Stay abreast of industry, market, and regulatory trends, and articulate their impact on client opportunities

The Person

 

  • Consulting background with a successful track record in risk, regulatory, or capital markets advisory (Big 4 or major financial institution experience preferred)
  • Experience managing or supporting delivery of risk, regulatory, and change programs across sell side, buy side, and financial market infrastructure firms
  • Deep understanding of capital markets, pre- and post-trade operations, and regulatory drivers shaping the industry
  • Understanding of key regulations impacting banks operating in Singapore, including those that are subsidiaries/branches of US/EU/UK banks
  • Demonstrated expertise in risk transformation, non-financial regulatory reporting, and controls transformation/simplification
  • Strong project/program management and business analysis skills. Familiarity in methodologies such as PRINCE II or MSP will be preferred
  • Technical proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, SharePoint, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to mentor and manage junior consultants and work collaboratively within teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
