Job Description

 

KPMG’s Global Health Care and Life Sciences (HCLS) team brings a breadth of experience working with and within the industry and leverages real-world experience to support clients to define, translate and execute on their strategic ambitions.  We leverage this global strength, localised to Asia Pacific, to work in partnership with our clients and the healthcare ecosystem to address a range of strategic imperatives; such as digital, data and AI innovation, commercial excellence and go to market, new business and care models, operational excellence, policy shaping and public affairs.

 

With Healthcare and Life Sciences a strategic priority sector in Asia Pacific, KPMG is looking for an Assistant Manager / Manager to help us drive impact in market and to our clients.

 

The role primarily involves the following:

 

  • Leading and supporting the delivery of projects in the Healthcare & Life Sciences space. This will include planning the delivery work, management of the broader delivery team as well as identifying the analysis needed to be done. The Assistant Manager / Manager is expected to bring sector expertise and experience to guide the team in their work and work closely with senior personnel in the team to ensure high quality project delivery
  • Contributing to the growth and development of the KPMG Singapore and Asia Pacific Healthcare & Life Sciences strategy practice by actively participating in business development activities like managing bid responses and client engagements
  • Contribute to the development of the strategy team via active participation in activities that improve the ongoing operations and team engagement
  • Support broader practice development activities including the following:
    • Outlining the practice subareas of focus, potentially including but not limited to digital, data and AI innovation, commercial excellence and go to market, new business and care models, operational excellence, policy shaping and public affairs
    • Considering innovative client contracting models such as managed services, risk-reward, and asset-based engagements
    • Understanding how to take the solution ideas to clients, to drive business development, manage accounts, and ultimately deliver project engagements
    • Supporting identify and develop market and client opportunities to bring innovative solutions to clients and shape market impact
    • Support market and client business development to shape ecosystem impact and drive client outcomes

The ideal candidate should have:

 

  • At least 5 years of experience in either (1) data and analytics or AI strategy and execution, (2) commercial strategy and market access and/or (3) operational excellence and supply chain within the Healthcare or Life sciences sector. Ideally experience in consulting is preferred
  • Relevant Healthcare and Life Sciences professional qualifications
  • Strong project management experience. Ideally qualifications (eg PMP) or demonstrated experience leading complex projects end to end
  • Experience leading and managing teams
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Experience and interest in interfacing with senior industry executives
  • Flexible, creative and innovative approaches to problem solving with a learning mindset
  • Comfort operating in a regional environment across Asia Pacific
