Job Description

 

The Enterprise Application & Engineering team within KPMG Information Technology Services is dedicated to creating and delivering value to our business by leveraging on IT technology. The team is responsible for delivering customer-focused solutions and high quality IT services internally to enable our business. We invite highly motivated and customer oriented individuals to join our ITS team

 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

 

Application Integration Strategy 

 

  • Drive system integration vision, strategy, roadmap and adoption of industry best practices or methodologies. 
  • Oversee the integration of data or functions across multiple systems to ensure seamless and efficient operation. 
  • Development of integration plans, identification, and utilization of appropriate middleware to optimize the connectivity and performance of applications across target environments. 
  • Collaborate with offshore development teams to facilitate the integration of applications. 
  • Manage the entire integration process, from requirements gathering and analysis to testing, deployment, and maintenance.  
  • Handle risk assessment and mitigation, cost account, and earned value management. 

 

Maintenance support  

 

  • Creation and monitoring of SQL Server Jobs. 
  • Creation and monitoring of Azure Data Factory data pipelines. 

 

Business Requirements Alignment 

 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements. 
  • Translate business needs into detailed specifications and integration requirements. 
  • Expertise in comparing integration approaches and assessing their relative strengths and limitations in terms of meeting business goals. 
  • Articulate the value of integration solutions to the technical team leads and stakeholders. 

 

Research and feasibility assessment 

 

  • Spearhead research and analyses application integration approaches and middleware solutions. 
  • Conduct COTS middleware or integration solutions feasibility assessment. 
  • To continually innovate new ideas and solutions to promote or enrich user experience and other applications capabilities and explore integration opportunities with other systems. 
  • Define, prioritize, and manage the development of new integration opportunities. 

 

Solution Optimisation 

 

  • Implement tracking and analytics to monitor the performance of the integration or middleware solutions. 
  • Identify areas for improvement and optimize the system's speed, reliability, and accuracy. 

 

 

 

The ideal candidate should possess: 

 

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with application integration, middleware solutions or data interface management. 
  • Technical working experience in integration technologies such as Service-Oriented Architecture, API-led Connectivity, Middleware, Web Service, Enterprise Service Bus, Microservices or Cloud Integration Platforms. 
  • Ability to lead and influence delivery teams comprising of business analysts, tech leads, and offshore developers. 
  • Prior technical experience in cloud or web applications development is considered an advantage. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with others.
