Job Description

Are you a fresh polytechnic graduate who has not decided on your field of study in university? Do you know you can also be a professional Audit practitioner? Read on to find out how you can chart a different path from your peers! 

 

KPMG's Career Catalyst Programme for Polytechnics (C2P2) is a 12-month apprenticeship programme which allows you to start your career with our Audit practices. You will learn from real-world experts and gain experience needed to succeed in today’s competitive marketplace. You will also have access to opportunities to work with clients across different industries. Concurrently, we will enroll you in professional qualifications courses fully sponsored by KPMG to elevate your skills and maximise your learnings. To set you up for success, a mentor will be assigned to provide support and guidance in addition to being exposed to regular networking sessions! 

 

After completion of the apprenticeship programme, you may choose to continue your career with KPMG by pursuing the Singapore Chartered Accountant (SCA) qualification which will be fully sponsored by the firm. Alternatively, you may graduate from this programme and pursue a degree/your other passions or even try out other functions in KPMG.

Audit Function

 

The Audit team is structured along four lines of businesses (Diversified Industrials & Infrastructure, Energy & Technology, Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer & Tourism), each addressing the unique demands of a key industry cluster in the marketplace.  

You will work in teams to acquire an in-depth understanding of our client’s business, carrying out audits based on audit planning, prepare appropriate audit work papers, understanding the relationships between objectives of the audit sections and the need for the sufficiency of audit evidence, as well as presentation of the conclusions. Immense in the complex yet exciting world where there are endless opportunities to learn new things and be exposed to different industries.  Learn how technology is applied in the audit through data analytics, visualisation of audit results and use of cutting-edge audit software and tools.  

 

Eligibility: - 

  • Diploma in Accountancy from a local polytechnic 
  • Interest to start a career with a professional services firm 
  • Aspiration to be an auditor/tax practitioner 
  • Exhibit willingness to learn and problem-solving skills 
  • Self-motivated and good analytical skills 
  • Available to work full-time for 12 months starting from July 2024
