Job Description

The Portfolio & Project Management Office within KPMG Information Technology Services brings project management expertise and provides support to projects, ensuring best practices and standards are met, and to help KPMG deliver maximum value through the systems and initiatives implemented.
As a Project Manager on the team, you are the go-to person for everything on the project. You are to constantly bring value to the table, prevent scope creep while managing individual tasks for the respective teams with keen attention to detail to avoid any unpleasant surprises.

 

 

Responsibilities: 
Project Management:

  • Lead, coordinate people and processes to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope, and produce the desired results, at the right quality
  • Manage multiple projects, with sometimes overlapping stakeholder groups
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Lead the change management track, or guide the change management activities
  • Provide project financial budget and expenditure forecasts

 

Standards and Governance:

  • Assist in aligning and maintaining project standards, processes, guidelines, and templates
  • Maintain governance structures, provide training and support to stakeholders

 

Portfolio Management:

  • Manage the PMO portfolio across the financial year in collaboration with the Finance Manager
  • Build relationships with stakeholders internally and externally to enable stronger IT-Business collaboration

 

The ideal candidate should:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields
  • Have a minimum of 3-5 years of business or IT project management
  • Be proficient in waterfall and agile approaches
  • Possess certification(s) in project management and related areas (PMP, CSM, PRINCE2, ITIL, etc.)
  • Preferably come from an IT/technical background, with experience in system implementation, web and cloud technologies
  • Preferably have vendor management experience
