YOUR ROLE IN THE VILLAGE:


As a UI/UX Design Intern, you will work closely with our project and client teams to identify existing pain points or growth opportunities. Using these insights, you will put on your thinking cap to design new user-friendly products or services.

 

 

As an intern, you will get the opportunity to:

  • Collaborate with project and product managers, UI/UX designers, and developers to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
  • Support in executing all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to product development
  • Support in defining the visual direction and design requirements
  • Help unify the design language and enhance digital experiences
  • Keep on track with cutting edge technologies and UI trends
  • Bring the proposed solution to life through user personas and journey mapping
  • Support the product development process by writing user stories, test scripts, and performing user testing across mobile apps and web platforms
  • Help manage the co-innovation process between our clients, our in-house designers and development teams, and external partners (i.e. start-ups and/or solution providers). This includes overseeing the following UI/UX design related activities:
  • Conducting user-driven immersion and requirements gathering
  • Ideating and designing of the product concept
  • Testing and validation of the solution prototype
  • Refinement of the solution prototype
  • Documentation of all design related deliverables (eg. immersion findings, design/brand/style guidelines, functional specification documents etc.)

 

 

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Strong interest in driving change and digital innovation
  • Highly driven, ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Creative approach towards problem solving
  • Willingness and ability to take initiative and learn independently
  • Highly collaborative team player
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding of human-centered design methodologies
  • Experience in user interface design and rapid prototyping
  • Foundational understanding of design tools such as: Figma, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, illustrator etc.
