Job Description
KPMG’s Forensic team is recognised for delivering high-quality work in complex and time-sensitive situations. We are frequently engaged to advise in major investigations and matters of public interest, working with leading organisations in Singapore.
Our team comprises experienced professionals across Forensic Services, including Investigations, Forensic Technology, Financial Crime Compliance, and Dispute Advisory. We help clients prevent, detect, and respond to risks through structured methodologies, innovative solutions, and a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape.
We are seeking an experienced professional in forensic technology with expertise in digital forensics and eDiscovery. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong business development capabilities, a client-focused mindset, and the ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
This role involves:
Day to day, you will be working in project teams or independently, supervised by senior members of the team Directors and Partners. You will also lead, supervise and guide junior colleagues on their day to day tasks. Your tasks may include leading engagements in the areas of Digital forensic forensics, electronic discovery and may include supporting cyber incident response matters.
As we are required to react to clients’ investigation requirements, usually on a tight timeline, you are expected to be flexible in accommodating the need to work beyond office hours, if required. We will always be mindful of your personal and family needs and we work as a team, taking care of each other. What You’ll Do
- Building and maintaining client relationships
- Leading digital investigations and electronic discovery engagements
- Conducting interviews internally and externally
- Identifying sources of electronic evidence
- Forensic imaging and analysis of storage media from computers, servers, mobile devices as well as data stored on cloud.
- Host forensic analysis of file system for Windows, Linux and/or Macintosh.
- Identify, collect, preserve, process electronic data for electronic discovery (e-discovery) engagements.
- Cryptocurrency investigations
- Lead team members in the research and development of latest form of digital evidence and forensic tools and procedures.
- Lead team members in the upkeep and maintenance of the forensic lab, software and hardware.
- Report writing, presentation and providing trainings.
Technical skills
- Strong experience in using forensic software to identify, collect, preserve and analyse electronic data from laptops, desktops, servers, cloud, backup tapes and mobile devices.
- Proficient working knowledge in evidence handling, chain-of-custody, acquisition techniques, analysis of digital evidence, forensic lab practices and procedures.
- Ability to code in popular computer language is an advantage. This will help you in the development and automating routine tasks. Knowledge on database management and SQL is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Macintosh and other Operating Systems (OS). You should be able to understand and translate the artefacts extracted from the OS into investigation outcomes supported by detailed documentation.
- Any certifications in the field of cloud technologies, computer forensics and/or e-discovery is preferred.

- Time management. It is not uncommon to work on multiple engagements and projects at the same time. You should be able to understand priorities, be confident enough to clarify the priorities from senior team members and raise concerns if these are not achievable.
- Presentation skills. You should be comfortable presenting your findings to your colleagues and clients in an interactive manner. KPMG will provide learning opportunities to improve on your presentation skills.
- Reading and writing proficiently in English. Communication and report writing are key areas in this working environment to allow success and impact in delivering outcomes to our project teams and clients.
