Job Description

 

The Information Technology Services is dedicated to creating and delivering value to our business by leveraging on IT technology. The team is responsible for delivering customer-focused solutions and high-quality IT services internally to enable our business.

 

We invite a highly motivated, dynamic professional to join our ITS as a Senior Engineer.  This role provides daily operation and application support to users and work closely with various teams in the IT Services Department to ensure smooth operation of systems and their related processes.

 

 

The role involves:

 

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining network and firewall infrastructure in both on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Ensuring compliance with standards, policies, guidelines, and information security requirements regarding network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting complex network and application connectivity issues logically.
  • Carrying out tasks assigned by team members independently, strategically resolving issues, managing time effectively, and meeting deliverables.
  • Providing technical support and handling escalations from front line and Tier 2 technical support teams.
  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation of network infrastructure configurations, policies, documentations and procedures (to be reviewed semi-annually).
  • Ability to engage with external vendors, whether for managed services or new project implementation

 

 

The ideal candidate should possess:

 

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Security, or Systems Engineering.
  • Preferably 3 years’ relevant experience in cloud environment and network technologies.
  • Expertise in Cisco and Palo Alto firewall technologies, along with a solid understanding of network infrastructure and services like TCP/IP, Routing and DNS.
  • Experience in troubleshooting complex network issues and providing effective solutions.
  • Excellent communications skills, the ability to convey information to stakeholders in a way that is meaningful and that achieves the desired outcome.
  • Ability to analyse situations rigorously, logically, and systematically.
  • Ability to contribute to continuous improvement of processes and services.
  • A proven track record ensuring the proper functioning of operational services.
  • Understanding of, and practical experience with, ITIL processes is an advantage.
  • Able to multi-task independently and yet work as a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong technical experience with Palo Alto security product such as (Prisma Access and Palo Alto Next Generation Firewall).
  • Applicants should hold certifications such as Palo Alto Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer (PCCSE), Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), and optionally Cisco certification.
