Job Description
KPMG Tax Services assists organisations with their tax compliance obligations and in enhancing their commercial value through tax planning and incorporating tax strategies into an overall business strategy. Globalisation of businesses must be managed with international know-how and perspective. Through an in-depth understanding of our multinational clients' businesses and industries, KPMG Tax Services helps our clients identify tax-related challenges and opportunities.
Your responsibilities include:
- Assist with tax technical research on Singapore and international tax issues, including:

- Review and analysis of relevant legislation, case law, advance rulings, IRAS guidance, circulars, and published commentary
- Preparation of internal technical summaries and position papers to support client advice

- Support engagement-related compliance and risk management processes, including:
-
- Conflict of interest checks, client acceptance / continuance procedures, and independence compliance
- Assisting with engagement setup, budgeting, time recording, and billing / invoicing processes
- Maintaining engagement documentation in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements

- Assist in the preparation of client proposals, pitch materials, and responses to RFPs, including coordination with internal stakeholders and collation of relevant credentials and experience
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of report templates and client deliverables, including tax memos, advisory reports, due diligence reports, and presentation materials
- Support project teams on ongoing client engagements, including:

- Data gathering
- Tracking of action items and deliverables

- Assist in knowledge management initiatives, such as:

- Updating internal databases, precedents, and technical materials
- Monitoring developments in tax administrative practice

- Provide general administrative and coordination support to engagement teams, including liaising with internal functions (risk, finance, legal, operations) as require

- Possess a diploma or higher nitec in Accountancy, Economics, Finance, Business or Law.
- A strong team player with a proven track record of academic and co-curricular achievements.
- Possess the ability to work independently, multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment.
- A fluent communicator with strong language skills.
- Strong organization skills with an eye for detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with colleagues from various levels and functions.
