Job Description
KPMG Trade and Customs team provides an extensive range of services to clients with international trade business. As part of our Trade and Customs team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with customs regulations, providing strategic trade advisory services, and fostering client relationships for our clients in local, regional and international market.
As an associate you will get the opportunity, but not limited to:
- Perform internal risk management for onboarding of clients.
- Perform research on regulations and industry trends.
- Draft reports and analyses for customs and tax optimisation projects.
- Support in assignments related to HS classification, customs valuation, FTAs, and trade strategy reviews.
- Support the exploration and implementation of digital tools to improve trade efficiency.
The ideal candidate should possess the following attributes:
- Possess a tertiary and/or professional qualification in international trade, supply chain, logistics, or related field, with strong APAC region exposure
- Have an outward-looking, people-oriented personality with great communication skills as well as an analytical mind to work effectively in a team
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Strong team player, willingness to learn.
