Job Description
Our Deal Advisory professionals help buyers, sellers, private equity investors, governments, and lenders in developing and executing on their value strategies. The Transaction Services team focuses on due diligence (financial and commercial) assistance in relation to acquisitions, disposals, public bids/mergers, joint ventures, buy-outs, market entries, financing and other transactions. The team also helps clients identify upside opportunities and risks in their transaction processes to satisfy the due diligence requirements of underwriting banks.
As an Associate Director, Commercial Due Diligence - Transaction Services (Deal Advisory), you are a motivated self-starter with expertise in finance, strategy, research and business operations, with focus on commercial due diligence in a deal environment.
Responsibilities
- Working in multi-disciplinary teams, you will apply your professional and technical skills on a wide variety of transactions and at different stages of the transaction process
- Evaluate markets, assess market size, growth, segmentation and overall attractiveness, customer interviewing, and assess strengths and weaknesses of market participants
- Assist clients with building detailed business models including market forecasts, competitor share forecasts, evaluating synergy and cost saving opportunities, and product/service improvements
- Deliver deeper insights to our clients, using third-party data analytics tools
- Participate in KPMG’s engagement teams with senior client executives, attorneys, and investors
- Draft detailed professional reports and assist in preparing pitch documents e.g. proposals and presentations
- Perform financial analysis, review on target projects and formulate deal rationale and strategy
- Apply standard Customer Due Diligence (CDD) techniques and methods in analysis

Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in strategy, commercial due diligence, or consulting experiences.
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Numerate or Analytical disciplines such as Mathematics, Economics, and Accounting, or the equivalent.

Experience in sectors such as Financial Services, Healthcare, Transportation, Energy, or Manufacturing would be advantageous.

Experience in applying financial and commercial understanding, along with solid analytical and problem‑solving skills

Demonstrated expertise and the capability to incorporate relevant sector insights into client deliverables and proposals.

Regional project experience within Southeast Asia would be beneficial in leading due diligence projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly motivated and able to learn and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel.
