Job Description

KPMG's Forensic practice consists of experienced professionals with a wealth of experience in investigations, AML/CTF, data analytics, FATCA/CRS, forensic technology and disputes. We have helped some of the world's biggest companies on some of the most important matters of public interest in Singapore.

 

We help clients deal with:

  • Fraud, misconduct and corruption investigations
  • Assess and improve client’s AML controls and financial crime compliance
  • Commercial disputes
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Managing risk on buying or selling a business, intellectual property and contract governance
  • Preventing and detecting fraud and financial crime

 

We also deploy technology tools to help clients deal effectively with large amounts of data and documentation, to manage and disclose important material or highlight fraud, weaknesses and business opportunities from within corporate data. The Forensic Data Analytics team combines data, technology, and analytics to deliver investigative and compliance solutions. We build and deploy analytical tools and dashboards across industries, integrating technical capability with business understanding.

 

As a Solutions Architect Associate in the Forensic Data Analytics team, you will support the design, development, and integration of applications and systems that underpin forensic data analytics engagements. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy full‑stack development, systems thinking, and solving technical challenges in a dynamic environment. You will work on application components, integrations, deployments, and troubleshooting, helping us build scalable and reliable solutions for clients.

As a Solutions Architect Associate in the Forensic Data Analytics service line, your scope of work will include:

 

Application & System Understanding

  • Understand how multiple applications, platforms, and data sources interact to deliver end‑to‑end business outcomes.
  • Map system interactions, data flows, and dependencies across integrated solutions.

 

Full Stack Development

  • Design, develop, test, and support full‑stack application components (front‑end, back‑end, and databases) based on requirements by business users or team.
  • Build and enhance web applications, APIs, and data integrations following established standards and patterns.
  • Fix defects, implement enhancements, and support minor solution customizations.

 

System Integration & Technical Implementation

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of system integrations between applications, databases, and external services.
  • Assist with deployment and configuration of application components in development, test, and production environments.
  • Ensure integrations and applications meet basic non‑functional requirements such as reliability and maintainability.
  • Understands system networking concepts, including network segmentation, IP addressing, ports, protocols, and connectivity between applications, databases, and external services.
  • Understands IT security principles when designing and implementing applications and system integrations, including authentication, authorization, data protection, and secure configuration
  • Able to consider confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) requirements and align with applicable organizational IT security policies and standards.

 

System Support, Troubleshooting

  • Provide hands‑on support for software, system, and integration issues, including performance of basic troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Assist in diagnosing root causes of incidents and implementing fixes in solutions/systems.

 

Requirements Analysis

  • Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
  • Ability to support solution design discussions by providing technical input and implementation feedback is a plus.

 

Documentation & Quality Standards

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs and data flows.

We are looking for individuals with the below backgrounds:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information systems, Engineering or a related field.
  • Familiar with Python, SQL, Javascript, Typescript
  • Experience with React, FastAPI, Flask and Django frameworks is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud architecture (Azure, AWS) is a plus.
  • Demonstrate interest in systems thinking, integrations, and technical architecture.
