Job Description

The KPMG Corporate Tax Planning and Compliance ("TPC") team supports multinational groups in managing its BEPS Pillar Two (Global Minimum Tax) obligations, including registration, compliance coordination, and engagement execution under the Singapore Minimum Top-up Tax framework. The team works closely with international tax, tax consulting, and technology stakeholders to support clients in navigating complex regulatory requirements while ensuring timely and accurate compliance.

 

The Tax function is looking for an intern to support BEPS Pillar Two implementation, workflow coordination, and data tracking activities to manage increasing BEPS-related compliance demands.

 

As an intern, you will get the opportunity, but not limited to:

  • Supporting BEPS Pillar Two registration and compliance activities, including preparation, tracking and follow-up of registration and filing-related matters.
  • Working with various IT and GenAI tools and KPMG’s proprietary applications to support development of BEPS knowledge base and AI tools to support the BEPS compliance process
  • Assisting with fact-gathering exercises and collation of information required for BEPS Pillar Two engagements.
  • Maintaining and updating BEPS workflow trackers, action lists, and status reports.
  • Assisting in the preparation of internal materials, summaries and documentation for BEPS workflow or coordination meetings, where required.
  • Supporting internal reporting and management updates relating to BEPS Pillar Two.
  • Assisting with drafting and updating internal communications, guidance notes and templates relating to BEPS Pillar Two processes.
  • Organizing and maintaining BEPS reference materials, training documents and workflow documentation within Teams or shared repositories.
  • Attending internal BEPS Pillar Two training sessions and assisting in preparing reference notes or summaries from training materials.

 

The ideal candidate should possess the following attributes:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Law, Data Sciences, or other relevant fields of study.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage structured information and multiple trackers.
  • Good proficiency in GenAI tools, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications, with experience in developing AI agents. Some knowledge in Power BI is preferred as the role may require liaison and coordination with our Tax Technology Team to build databases and dashboards.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with colleagues across different teams and functions.
  • A strong team player with a good academic record and co-curricular involvement.
